I, Trihona Givens, began my journey in mental health in 2008. I started in group home settings providing direct care to mentally and physically challenged individuals with multiple barriers. I then moved on to work in human services providing assistance to family's by helping them to navigate the county systems to receive benefits and resources for a variety of social barriers. As my career developed my passion for mental health grew and I sought to work in the mental health field directly. Providing mental health services has played a crucial part in my work and personal life. I have developed a true passion for teaching others tools to help manage their mental health challenges and to promote healing and life restoration through a holistic approach. This is not only a career for me .
